I'd keep that McGerman, he'll have a great chance of getting in the Scotland/Germany squad next year. :)

We need at least another goalkeeper.
I would imagine the defence will remain more or less the same - one or two leaving and one or two joining.
But I think there will be a huge turnover of midfielders with the addition of 3 or more strikers.

Is definitely keep Cavare and mcGheehan. I’d like for at least 3 forwards and be happy to lose either Thiam or Bradshaw.

Would question keeping McCarthy but getting rid of Cavare - couple of moments of madness but overall I think he's looked a better player. Hammill and Bradshaw can also go for me.

Far, far too soon to write McGeehan off. Probably the best player in L2 last season.

Hammill is unlikely to be retained sadly, and I would cash in on Bradshaw if we can, as I'm assuming he'll be out of contract in summer 2019.

Definitely Keep Cavare think he's looked pretty solid apart from the odd moment but a lot to work with.

McGheehan - Be tempted to see what he looks like pre-season after all when we signed him he hadnt kicked a ball since Jan 2017 and came into a team that was constantly changing just hope he's fully fit in the summer so we can have a good look at him.

We desperatley need another keeper someone with experience who commands the area.

I look at the above squad and wonder where the goals are going to come from? We need minimum of 2 new striker and 2 central creative players.

Be tempted to give Adeboyejo a run out next season scores enough in Under 23's so next step is to give him a run out unfortunately i think this seasons going to go down to the wire so we wont have any games where we can put him in.

I can see us going to the European market for the summers transfers.

If we stay up we should keep the players that have been instrumental in us staying up.

That remains to be seen. There are a few that you can't see featuring much, like Hammill & ones we have little chance of signing, like McBurnie.
Everyone else should be fighting for their place.

Contractually, Hammill (club option for extra year), Townsend, Yiadom, Mills and Tuton are the only ones out of contract. As things stand, I can't see any of them either being retained, or wanting to be retained.

Yiadom has wanted away for a season, and in the first month of the new regime, it seems Hammil is being managed out, sadly.

For the rest of them, its really going to come down to what league we're in. Our squad is far too bloated and big, especially in midfield, so we're on the flipside we've been in the last few years of trying to get rid of people, rather than people trying to leave. It could be we cant get rid, so have to loan them out, or we just try and persevere.

The manager may want to take a look at Mowatt, McGeehan, Bird, Brown and Mottley-Henry once back from loan. It wouldn't surprise me to see a huge amount of coming and going though.

My only hope is that the recruiting model is much more sensible and linked to the system and requirements the manager wants to play.

I've no issue with the manager saying what his ideal squad size and shape should be, stating the attributes in each position he wants (pace, technique, shot, physicality, etc) and then passing it to the recruitment team to find the prospects, run them by the manager and then go and get them.

If we now go out and buy 17 wingers.... we know we've not learned the lessons of last summer

If we keep all those you've said it's going to be another long season.

I'm hoping for a massive overhaul.

I'm expecting some great recruits from the Portuguese leagues. Fingers crossed we sign Kiki Ballack.

Agree with this cavare has looked good to me just needs to knock the moments of madness on the head. Think we have a decent full back on our hands though.
As much as I love the man hammill will probley be gone come the summer.

Aye I think you are right about Adam unless he’s ready for a behind the scenes role.

Think no matter the league we will get shut of a lot this summer. Can see a huge change in squad personnel. Wouldn't be surprised to see no more than an handful here next season.

I think that suggested retain list is a little generous, given the majority of those players have underwhelmed this season. I'd actually agree to a lot of it if we went down, as I still believe that we recruited the bulk of a very good League One side last summer! I think there will be significant changes if we survive, with substantial recruitment from abroad. We also may have to accept keeping more than we'd ideally want to retain depending on incoming bids.

I wouldn't be totally against replacing the entire forward line for example and whilst Isgrove and Hammill are my two favourite players, I'd be surprised if either figured in JM's plans. Major upheaval I would imagine.

Agreed. Keeping the majority will mean more of the same.

    No room for sentiment.

Love him. He's been absolute quality, but struggled at this level for most part.

    I think it's easier to do it like this, the only players i would keep are;

    Adam Davies

    Dani Pinillos
    Liam Lindsay
    Ethan Pinnock
    Adam Jackson
    Dimi Cavare
    Andy Yiadom

There are no midfielders i would keep, our best two aren't ours.
    Christoph Knasmullner

    Kieffer Moore
    Mamadou Thiam

Big work ahead, but lets cross the finish line first!
