Bloody hell, that’s nearly a variation of a full million in fees I’ve heard for him now. I bet most of the fees we get / pay out are in instalments & we don’t even know it

Have you watched us recently? Mcgeehan has been playing out of his skin. Would you take a million for Dougall? Because that’s who Mcgeehan is keeping out of the side at the minute due to his performances.

Looking good for that price I'd say.

We bought Thiam to consolidate our position in the Championship. I'm really pleased he's playing so well, but this was the kind of form we were expecting last season given the reported outlay on him so I'm not sure the thread has aged badly.

He was in and out of the side in the championship to be fair he didn't even make that many starts at one point hecky started him as a lone striker at Hillsborough my 7 year old son can watch his game and see he is no lone striker.
It's abit like saying where was pinnock mowatt or mcgeehan last season.. If you don't get a regular run of games in your natural position you will find it hard.

True, but I'm still delighted with the way that Thiam, Mowatt and McGeehan have progressed All three of them would be able to make the step up to the Championship I reckon.

We paid good money for Moncur and never really got a return on it. That was a fairly expensive risk that failed.

The only players I’m convinced could easily transition would be Pinnock and Lindsay. Mowatt and Dougall potentially though pace matters a lot more. McGheehan I’ve always had high hopes for the rest not so sure.

A lot depends which Thiam turns up. The footballer who scored those cracking goals against Oxford, Luton, Charlton etc. Or the bloke from last season who looked as though the only football he'd ever played in his life was on his Playstation.
