I have just received an email entitled "We're sorry to see you leave" from info@diceplatform.com stating my membership has been cancelled, as of 01/07/2024. I didn't recognize the email address, so I checked with iFollow Support, and it is real. It must be related to the Sky EFL agreement next year. Apparently, I will hear more later. I'm not sure if this only affects International Annual subscriptions. I just thought I'd share to give people a heads-up.
I also got this email, I just presumed that the payment period was up and I don’t have automatic renewals so it’s classed as me cancelling. Edit: mine’s an audio subscription which shouldn’t be affected by Sky.
Strange wording to say they are sorry to say you leave if they are doing the cancelling. It has been said that international subscribers will still be able to watch games so hope thats right both for expat reds or those who travel abroad regularly
I'm pretty sure that I get something weirdly worded like this every year from them. Just means that your subscription for the year is ended - I have no idea why they have to make it look so odd.
Nope. I'm a bit of a hoarder. Last year's email, dated 01/06/2023, was titled "Renewal reminder: Important information regarding your iFollow Barnsley Season Pass auto-renewal".
Ah, looks like you might be right. I've had a look through mine, and I think I'm probably thinking of the ones I got from Paypal which just say "Your billing agreement with EFL Digital has been cancelled". I knew that there had been a message before today which made me worried that something had gone wrong though!
Without going into all the detail (because it's not fully known yet), there's a new platform launching in July. New site, new video service etc. It's been a long time coming. 'Should' be a massive improvement. And yes, audio subscriptions in the UK will still be available. As will streaming for overseas fans, with multi-camera setup. Your cancellation notice is basically because that company will no longer be running the service. Hope this helps, as someone used to say on here...
Sad there'll be no more video coverage for UK fans for certain fixtures, although I only bought a handful of match passes. Good news for those who do use it more that a new platform is on the way. Not the club's fault but the standard of production was woeful for something most of the EFL were using.
