IKEA is a very touchy feely shop though so how are the mitigating the risks of hundreds of people touching a display?
was going to start a new thread but may as well post here i went to b&q yesterday around 9'20 , a few already there, speaking to a rather posh lady whilst waiting (im taking the pi55 there too) but she got quite irate come 10am that the nhs staff could queue jump, siting that diy is a luxury and should wait like us all, basically if they've got time to do diy then they've got time to queue too i pointed out that they may need an essential item on what could be their only day off this week whereas furloughed people have all the time in the world as now, she still wasn't buying it! i then pointed out i was also in the key worker bracket too and despite having mon/tue off i'd still racked up 44hrs and was absolutely exhausted walking 5hrs per day in the heat delivering all sorts of non-essential goods, just glad the wife wasn't with me, she'd have chinned her. quite funny as she came with me today for a few more bits we needed and we did jump the queue and a workmate saw us ;-)
None whatsoever. Its a dreadful place. Only ever been twice to pick up some storage units to keep my collection of games consoles looking tidy.
Ikea is ok if you like the idea of getting turned on by Swedish dirty talk. Who can't resist Knobba, Haardon, Fustiflapp, Seks, Billybollax shelving? And self assembly ..... wow ! What's the Swedish for that?
It’s great for picking up cheap tubs for organising things in a classroom, I bet in the summer holidays half of the people in there are teachers.
Outrage?? Nah just posted something I saw that I though people might be interested in which given the subsequent posts, most did. I just don't get that you seem to think whenever i I post I am outraged or angry at something. Pity that as usual you like to have a personal dig at me, 'liked' by a couple of the usual Lefty clique I see.
To be fair, it was probably the double questions marks and exclamation marks you made use of four times (once together) and the capitalisation that gives the impression of outrage or anger. With the exclusion of tone in written communication, people have to use clues in what is written to imply it. I’m not sure what politics has to do with liking a post.
IKEA!! WTF?? Reports of people queuing for hours to get in - some arriving as early as 5.45 am!! Why??!! Are swathes of the population living in rooms devoid of furniture, sleeping on and eating off the floor? Could give the impression of outrage. Ikea - wtf? Reports of people queuing for hours to get in - some arriving as early as 5.45 am. Why? Are swathes of the population living in rooms devoid of furniture, sleeping on and eating off the floor? Looks like you are asking a question.
Be interesting to see how things plan out. Will the queuing continue at all these shops? We like going to IKEA and have bought a fair bit of furniture from them. I wouldn't want to que up to get in currently. I'm sure many in the retail sector are worried about low demand if social distancing continues into the colder months.
What Zoe said. It isn't what you say, it is the way you say it. From your "lefty" lover (insert kiss emoji here)
Me and Laura are sitting on deck chairs in the living room at the minute because we've just sold our sofa. Our landlord has only offered us a six month lease so we're moving back in with her mum for the foreseeable. Selling everything we have and banking the money for our new place. Ikea may come in handy when that time comes. Flat packed might be the way forward because we can buy it and put in storage.
This. Just reads like he writes letters to the Daily Heil about his CONTINUED OUTRAGE WTF!!! about things that dont affect him. One would guess this type of thing is quite prevalent in the.....erm, older generations whom post on social media.
Sorry. Thought you were taking **** . Thanks for offering but Laura's mums is only round corner and we don't have that much stuff to box up anyway because we can just put it in boot of car. We have some boxes left from when we moved in. Can't believe it was only July last year. Our landlord is lower than a snakes belly.
Best flat pack furniture I ever put together. In fact, it was such a pleasure to build that I went back and bought an extra wardrobe.
