Just watched yesterday's on catchup. Don't normally watch, but there are some actual celebrities on this year. Enjoyed it.
have to agree fella.... I am totally not a fan of any reality shows... but last night was quite entertaining and amusing
Highest opening ratings for years too so Ant isn't being missed. It will have helped matters being given a bigger than usual budget to get a better calibre. Harry Redknapp leaning out of a car window transfer deadline day style was funny.
Not the same without Ant. I hate watching the challenges but like the camp banter if the celebs are good.
Not that it matters, but I've always thought she just looks really odd. I don't tend to watch ITV so can't say i've seen her on anything for years, but crikey she seems to have lost a lot of weight, and not for the better at all. Hopefully Ant gets himself sorted and is back for the next series.
I've enjoyed the first 2 episodes - good group of celebrities this year 'Arry seems a good laugh - watering the plants with a jet wash And I thought the inbetweeners lass did pretty well in the trial last night much better than I would have done.
Ant and Dec's banter is obviously rehearsed as well, but the same sort of thing with Holly somehow seems more contrived.
I am quite impressed with Ann Heggarty, she has courage. John Barrowman is completely nuts but well funny. Harry is a a funny guy... the bit when the singer lass was outside the 'Dunny' and the lass inside farted was hysterical.
I agree on the Anne point. Autism is still treated with for lack of a better word, fear, from the general public. She really is an inspiration for doing what she’s doing.
The problem with autism is that it covers so much that its hard to understand. If someone is in a wheelchair i can easily understand what thst means and generally speaking what to expect. If someone says theyre autistic it can mean anything from them being almost impossible to deal with (no offence to anyone) right through to it beong something you wouldnt know about them unless they told you. It just makes it so much harder for a lot of people to understand. Seeing somebody like Anne talk about it can only be a good thing. Helps people to understand the different levels.
I don't usually watch it but it was on last night so I left it on and found it quite enjoyable. I used to watch it, I remember the likes of Tony Blackburn, Nigel Benn, Phil Tufnell and Jason Donovan being in it but haven't watched it for years. I might stick with it this year.
It’s amazing the difference it makes to have ‘proper’ celebrities on it. I’m glad there’s no ex politicians on this year, too. Recon John Barrowman will win it. He’s well liked by the public and seems to be holding his own so far in the couple of challenges he’s done. People normally like a bit of eccentricity too.
