I've been going for 47 years, and have seen more ***** than a ***** shovelers shovel. And I STILL look forward to the next game, meeting up with the mates, cheering, groaning in despair, raging at the ref, raging at the poor play, applauding the good play, complaining at the queues in the gents, the extortionate price of Bovril, the crap weather, the crap car park, the crap owners, and the general end of the world because we lost a game of football. And then like yesterday I remember those who gave their all and couldn't be there to do all the above. I enjoy every occasion of being there whatever the result and good and bad moods it puts me in, but wouldn't miss it for the world. (Yes another bestest fan alert)
I’ll be there until I drop. Not happy with how things are panning out this season but last year was incredible. Rough with the smooth I guess. I’ve seen us much worse than this and will again. I’ve seen better times also. It’s part of supporting your club I suppose and whilst I had no choice in picking my club, I appreciate its standing in the game and in particular these days. Seems I’m in a minority based on this thread so maybe I’ll have more room to myself in the West next season!
Bizarre isn't it. As their fourth went in, I found myself thinking, 'well, at least the BBS will be entertaining tonight'.
I just laughed when the 4th went in - and admired what was a great strike then saw Conway get up and leave and thought - well if the boss cant face watching it how can he expect the fans to turn up and pay to watch. I genuinely thought we had a chance of getting something from the game - it lasted 8 minutes
