I take it a bit stormy at om?
-12 in Sheffield
Thunder and heavy downpours in Ossett. Wife phoned her Dad earlier. He lives in
Hatfield near Donny and apparently it was the same over there when she spoke
If it’s open post Covid get in the golden rule at the bottom of the struggle. Top pub, by far the best in Ambleside
Spent about 4hrs there, reight suntrap.
Our daughter Laura studied at the Ambleside campus of Cumbria University during her second year of her studies. She lived in a cottage there and loved her time in Ambleside.
Don't worry, back om nar
Been quite a few times now, nice and relaxed atmosphere & stunning scenery.
Wife's daughter and grandkids live in Ambleside.
Nice place but too many tourists and outdoor/clothes shops. Also it's BLOODY EXPENSIVE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Middle son lives in Ambleside in an ex council house, local occupancy so affordable. Great estate, there’s actually kids out playing in the street. Good thing local occupancy in allowing a community to exist in a tourist area. Some issues with the rules though our youngest (reds fan) who is born here, schooled here doesn’t qualify cos he’s been away at Uni for 3 years.
TBH Mr B, I think Ambleside cannot get enough of tourists, especially at this time. Expensive???? try London's West end
