What areas do you reckon we need to strengthen in for the upcoming season ?

    GK: Walton
    RB: Cavare , J Williams
    CB: Pinnock , Lindsay
    LB: Pinillos , B Williams
Wing: Brown, Thiam, Green, Mottley-Henry, Simoes
CM: Mowatt, McGeehan, Dougall, Styles, Bird, Wolfe
    ST: Moore, Woodrow, Miller, Adeboyejo

For me we need 2 GK's ( 1 if Davies signs ) , a CB , a LB , a Winger ( If Hedges doesn't sign but Bahre most likely will cover this position ) and a ST.

I'd like to see Walton, B Williams, Mottley-Henry, Simoes, Bird, Wolfe and 1 of Miller or Adeboyejo go out on loan.

What do we need 3 left backs for?

We mostly need centre backs. We have two people for two positions now!

I think we need a bit of quality in most positions to improve the squad.

We won't be able to afford to do it on proven championship players though so I can see us adding some relatively unknown players from across Europe.

Something similar to what brentford have done the last few years which if we can have similar degrees of success wouldn't be a bad thing.

Sorry if it’s come across wrong I was saying send Ben Williams out on loan and sign a new LB for competition for Pinillos. I can’t see us having 4 first team Centre Backs think it’ll be 3 first team with a u23 waiting in the wings.

A keeper if Davies leaves (not sure why you want 3)
At least one centre half maybe two.
One or two wide men, feel this is the area where we could be weakest.
Possibly another Stirker depending on what the gaffer thinks of Miller.

I think we'll play 4-3-3 next season with McGeehan, Dougall and Mowatt in the middle. With the injuries and suspensions we had at the end of last season we only just got to the finishing line. So, I think we need a squad of 22 Championship level players with cover for each position. We particularly need a couple of strikers, the sort of players who can play across the front with pace and come off the bench to score. We'll also need four centrebacks.

We dont need 4 centrebacks - even if Pinnok and Lindsay leaves we only need 3 more. The reason Jackson left was because he couldnt get a game - if we have 2 first choice centrebacks we need one championship level for cover but not two.
Also I think we definitiely need one more striker - whether we need 2 depends on whether the guy from Bradford is ready

Don’t get why people want to waste wages on so much cover for every position. Much rather we spent a little bit more on the first choice 11.

In addition to the first choice 11 we need one quality player for each of the following: GK, RB, LB, CB, CDM, CAM, RW, LW, ST, ST. Even with 3 injuries that still gives us a full bench of 7 for every game, of which only 3 can get on. If we get more than 3 injuries we can supplement the bench with promising academy players.

It’s not like we’ll need to rotate much next season. We’ll be playing fewer games with no checkatrade trophy, later entry to the cup competitions and time to rest during international breaks.

    First choice 11:
    Davies
    Cavare
    Pinnock
    Lindsay
    Pinnillos
    Mowatt
    McGeehan
    Thiam
    Brown
    Moore
    Woodrow

    Cover:
    GK: Walton
    RB: Williams
    LB: Williams
    CB: New signing
    CM: Dougall
    CAM: Bahre
    RW: Green
    LW: Hedges
    ST: New signing
    ST: Miller

    Promising academy youngsters:
    Styles
    Adebayejo
    Motley-Henry
    Bird
    Woulfe
    Simoes

So I think we’re short in two positions for cover (CB and ST). In addition, we should be looking to strengthen the starting 11 in key areas, particularly wingers, as Thiam, Brown, Green and Hedges have all had bad spells of form.

Depending on our preferred formation, we might also want to strengthen in CM, if we plan to play 3 in the middle.

I’d like us to sign 4 quality players that should be challenging for the first 11, no more (assuming we get Bahre and keep Davies).

I agree that he’d be a good addition.

We know his quality and I reckon a return home would bring the best out of him.

Coz he can play centre back and if cavares in to last year of contract will be potentially sold inside six months plus Jr is not proven at all whereas bree is Championship ready imho.

I'm sure all options will be on table for the right fit for the squad. The Championship is no Mickey mouse league. Let's see how much the new owners have learnt in a rollercoaster year then.
