Archers 100 was in the 2's, i dont know what that has got to do with test cricket though, no one has even remotely suggested that makes him a great batsman, its just bizarre. Sadly we cant have a true discussion because in the face of stats and facts you've chosen to just believe that it was better years ago. Clearly the skill levels have a massively improved! i hate T20 but the skills required are simply amazing, if you want to talk about test durability you have a point but on the flip side of that bowling skill should be applauded now and again because they adapt from skills learnt in T20, its not always poor batting if you are in the game of comparing andy caddick with stuart broad we are done i guess.
If I were the England selectors I'd be panicking about the Ashes. These players just aren't good enough. There's Root, Stokes, Pope and Buttler that are international class. The rest are sheet and Anderson and Broad won't take enough wickets down under.
