The man hasn't got a single redeemable feature despite all of his claimed wealth. Paul how many times do you need telling? You are not welcome here. You have treated us with contempt and it will not be forgotten. Leave now because you will NOT get us back on side.
He might win in a courtroom against a team from Scotland but HIS actions have created a war with the fans of Barnsley football club that he will never win. He was driven out of Nice and he will be driven out of Barnsley. It's up to him if he does it the easy way or the hard way. Either way he WILL sell his shares and leave as he has caused an unwinnable war.
I find it all a bit strange. I get them putting him on gardening leave so he's still on a salary rather than having to be given a lump sum pay off. I can also undertstand how keeping him under contract would work in the club's favour if another club came for him. If you know the blokes done enough in his previous season to attract interest from other clubs, why is he still not the head coach at BFC? I hope he smashes it at Hearts, and furthers his career.
Hope some sign up here so we can set them straight on any questions they want answering about Stendel or our board. They know a thing or two about bad ownership.
I know nothing of employment law or what's 'really' gone on with Stendel leaving. But denying a person employment with a non-competitor, a person who you don't want to work with you because you think you 'own' them and want financial reward is about as low as it gets. I can't see any other way of looking at this situation - whatever Stendel may or may not have done, the club seem to be showing a bankruptcy of morals. If they think of hardworking employees as their property and commodities in that way, I dread to think how they perceive of us fans.
Just out of interest, how is your posturing any different from Conway saying he will win in the courts?
Spurs are in Europe and so are in direct competition with any clubs who will realistically be looking at making Pochettino an offer. Barnsley are never, ever going to play Hearts competitively.
Was he really driven out of Nice , their consortium made a handsome profit on their investment . I’ve got to say given we still don’t know the full story behind Stendels departure there’s some right spin being put on his offer of a job at Hearts by his supporters, worthy of Dominic Cummings
Maybe cos theirs 10k plus of us. My dad's bigger than your dad, well 10k of us to him. Put em up, let's have a scrap in a field Type of thing
If he wins in a courtroom then he's been found to be legally in the right. Which means that the actions of who he's arguing with are wrong. Furthermore, the majority of fans care most about what happens on the pitch and everything else is secondary. So a few wins and they're happy. That war is thus still winnable. Although we keep sending boys in to war against men, which is never bound to end favorably. Finally, it's better to establish all the facts before picking out who's absolutely right and who's absolutely wrong in any given dispute, rather than turning up with a torch and a lynch mob like summat off a Shrek film.
Yeah, Man Utd should have let Pogba go for free last time. Same with Beckham to Madrid, should have let him go for free. It’s football - it’s what happens regardless of leagues and is why contracts are in place. Remember, it seemed to be Stendel who didn’t want to commit to a new contract either....
But you weren't right. "There is already a tampering issue with us concerning his existing contract" That has nothing to do with Stendel joining Hearts. That is a comment about his time at Barnsley. Something they told us they were unable to do for legal reasons, which was used as the excuse for the infamous 21 word statement and subsequent silence. To address a couple of other issues: no, I don't trust the rag this is printed in, but when a comment is sourced and a direct quote given, even The Daily Mail tend to reproduce it accurately. Ironically, for legal reasons. I have no problem with the club looking after their own interests. I have no idea about employment law and whether or not we're in the right. I do have a problem that the owners of our club have chosen not to address supporters directly, not at the club meeting when we were told they couldn't, not via the local press or even their own media operations, but they seem happy to blab to a reporter whose intended readership were fans of a Scottish club. I also have a problem with the tone and content of Conway's comments, a man representing our club, who, in my opinion, makes us sound like a right set of tw@ts. And I evidence that statement by the understandable reaction on the Hearts forum.
Werent we told by those at the meeting that Murphy said Daniel was free to take another job? Hardly the case was it? Conway has shown himself up as a liar , should have kept his mouth shut instead of sounding off to his media mates from the Mail!
It clearly seems Daniel is free to take another job. It appears it is up to his new employer (Hearts) to pay his current contacted club Barnsley the compensation entitled.
