Alongside the lines of when you’re down there history shows you need to freshen things up even if it’s just a character in the dressing room.

I agree. The likes of Marlon Harewood and Jason Scotland were massive for us that year we stayed up. Harewood was way past his best for us and didn’t really play for Hill but under Flicker he made a real different with his character alone.

Obviously Adam Hammill is a big character too as well as a fantastic payer and we saw the difference he made.

Like Hourihane, Mawson etc these players are worth nothing without results and success. We’ve got the potential in now so let’s bring in the experience to help them grow.

Looking forward to this window, I just hope it doesn’t disappoint.

We simply need better players regardless of age .

    Not always the case.

Hourihane, Mawson, Roberts, Scowen, Davies, Winnall, Isgrove, Watkins, Bree, Pearson were in a side rock bottom of League One.

I don’t think adding another talented youth with potential would have got us to where we ended up whether they were better footballers than Hammill, Long and White or not. Leader and characters make a huge difference.

Definitely if that’s all we signed.

I take it you think Mcburnie will solve all our problems then?

Come on mate it's New Years eve I can't be arsed with an argument. You've obviously got valid points . You surely agree that we're short up top and that must be addressed but we're not too bad at the back . I reckon there must only be me and you on here tonight . Happy New year.
