Massive shame as he's come back into the side flying. Helped turn the momentum in our favour at Wednesday whilst putting in solid performances against Burton and Birmingham. I suppose Hammills not a bad replacement and Hedges must be itching to get a start. As a side note, I wonder if it has ever crossed Heckys mind to go with McCarthy at right back and Yiadom infront of him. Worth a thought particularly away from home in my opinion, although unlikely to be needed with the form of our wingers.
That’s not a bad suggestion, although I’d probably go the other way around if we ever went down that route as Yiadom for me is the superior “defender” but McCarthy is an absolute flyer who I think could almost certainly do a commendable job on the right hand side of a midfield four particularly, as you say, away from home.
McCarthy is a central defender so why not play him there? That way we can have Yiadom & Fryers at full back. Saying that Yiadom can play anywhere.. Right back / Right midfield / Left back or possibly Central midfield like he has done before.
I know it's only a game.. But on FIFA 18, Yiadom is a beast at Right midfield & McCarthy is class at centre back.
