Lots of awkward and challenging questions were asked and he gave an honest response wherever possible.
Yes. They apologised that the digital zone for Reds plus members hadn't yet come on line. This was due to protracted technical issues.
That's a pathetic response if so. There was far more promised than just that that wasnt forthcoming. Did he say that refunds would be actioned?
Dane admitted that physicality had definitely been an issue in the Championship and that 10 to 12 teams were at an immediate advantage due to their height and athleticism. They were looking to address this.
I'm not one for complaining, but it would have been nice to know that before March and to have been told without having to ask.
It was the media guy who answered the question. He listed the other things that had been offered. No suggestion of any refunds.
Then yes that truly is pathetic. The media guy didn't sell the season tickets, Dane and his bosses did. He should be the one answering the question not just allowing a media guy to brush it off.
“Alongside a welcome pack, including a number of Barnsley FC items*, Reds Reserved Members will also be granted season-long access to an exclusive digital Members zone, providing opportunities to enter exclusive competitions and giveaways, whilst also receiving messages from your favourite players. Reds Reserved Members will also be given access to unique events, with opportunities to meet the squad and embark on behind-the-scenes tours*
That is brushing it off though and blaming all of the things they didn't get on a technical problem that's lasted an entire season is just laughable. If any fan takes them to court they will win within about 20 seconds and all he does, as usual, is apologise for yet more failings from himself? Not foot enough really is it.
I think he said tours and such like had taken place. I'm not defending this, just reporting what was said. If fans have grievances they should complain...
Did they at least say sorry for the false advertising and promise to not do it again? If not they will soon find out trust is a lot harder gain than it is to lose.
Oh no don't worry I, and in sure others, appreciate you relaying the information so don't take it as shooting the messenger or anything.
