Personally I'm not that bothered either way, but before we all swallow the conspiracy theory is there any proof of its existence?

If there is a clique trying to remove people from here because they don't like their posts then I find that a bit sad and they should be careful what they wish for.
That said, I see no evidence of its existence.

I tend to gloss over most of the reverends posts, can't be doing with the constant negativity, but the board will be a poorer place without the like of him.

For what it's worth, I like you and the Dr and thought good comments were made after yesterday's win. As long as it's not offensive you should be able to post what you want, I've not read any terms and conditions or any site rules. I have found it difficult on here to be able to feel like i can be involved as part of the BBS our clubs fan forum, I have been posting probably 12 months now but it seems unless you are very clever, go to redfearns bar or been posting for 10 years then it's not an easy place to be part of . So I would be very disappointed if you were kicked off not sure who else is bothered tho. I'm same as you a long time barnsley fan who likes to see others views whether different to mine or not and like to comment what I think at the time.

however I am who I am....I don't abuse anyone, I don't swear on here (cant recall doing so very often) as a rule so I don't get it. I am boring and repetitive and that is a banning offence apparently (so is Mr L Johnson but he ain't been sacked yet!). Maybe cos I don't worship or believe everything Mr L Johnson, Mr B Mansford and everything the club say, I am surplus to requirements.

No one could say that I'm part of a clique and I find the pair of you bloody annoying. This bout of self-pity isn't helping matters either.

If it were up to me I'd ban hardly anyone (and so would probably find myself presiding over the quietest and purest bastion of free speech on the internet), but speaking as a relative outsider I can say that I understand the reasons for all of the bans that have been handed out on here, even if I don't necessarily agree that it was the right thing to do.

My fundamental tip for not getting banned from the BBS, based on my experience here, is much like my fundamental tip for not getting barred from pubs: Act your age, at least try to be reasonable and don't go out of your way to wind up the gaffer. Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but that seems completely fair.

I don't want to see anyone barred for what they say ( in footballing terms )...it's just the mind numbingly constant and regular repeating of the same message
that grates. It's not a question of free speech, admin allow us all that, and it's admin who put the work into maintaining the forum, without them there's no forum for any of us. If you're being asked to limit yourself, then just do it, there's no loss of free speech or big brother telling you what to write, and it can't be honestly presented that way. Just fit in......and stay on the forum. Your times only up if you want it to be.

 

Dont forget to mention how **** Lee Johnson and the team is. Its been a while.

As for you feeling un-involved or whatever, I sort of understand that. This place has been here for years in many forms and loads on here have become friendly through those years. It's one of the things I enjoy about the BBS. You're not just a load of usernames behind a keyboard. We sorted a BBS 'meet up' a couple of months ago, for the reason you're bringing up now - for folk to come together and stuff. Loads turned up. Nobody is in a clique. Anyone was welcome.

Always said 'more the merrier' regards numbers on here. More posters = more opinions. But when all's said and done, Gally runs this site himself (at his own expense) and his rules I think are fair enough.
