I agree. But sometimes in contact sports, tempers flair. I don't think we should be throwing terms like "divided camp" around over a small scuffle between two squad players
Well at last you're talking sense . The only thing I disagree with is that we don't know the full extent of the 'duel' . For all we know it could have been a proper toe to toe .
Townsend won't have his contract renewed, but Cavare needs to be moved on too. He's been nothing but hassle since joining us and we need to look to act tough to those who ruin a togetherness in the squad.
Seems to me handbags happen at training and lets face it not everyone has to be best mates - Andy Cole and Teddy Sherigham never spoke to each other when at Man Utd. I’ve had to put up with every team at oakwell trying to influence the ref at every opportunity while our players are like wet farts, then it comes to our notice that Heckys got a list of fines for disputing with the ref. Absolute naive stupidity in my book.
At £36 a ticket for Saturday they ought to have had the fight on at half time. It would have helped our friends from Sheffield out with the cost too. After watching a fight from 50 yards away, they could have brought 4 books out about it and sold them in hmv.
It’s not about this topic but your note about the opposition is exactly right, I remember Connor getting dogs abuse on here for being professional shall we call it, it’s what the opposition do to us every week it seems yet we never learn!
Cant remember who it was, it could have been roy Keane's autobiography where he states that scraps in training used to be a common thing and did no harm.... I think it probably happens more than you think in football. Me personally im with jose, if they wanna fight get them some gloves and it could be the new halftime entertainment weve all been waiting for...
I think some people just like to appear as close to the club as possible. Whether it's being "in the know" or being up the players arse cracks on twitter, it's very similar. I just like to go to the games and watch them play. If someone wants to be a "better fan" let em go for it.
Yeah, it always happens in training. Nothing new. Sometimes they kiss and make up, sometimes they never get on. But when on the pitch, it shouldn’t matter.
