    A fascinating look at our Town from another age with Oakwell looking resplendent.

    I'm looking for a bit of software that can rip that from the site so i can make a permanent copy...Can anybody recommend anything.

    Yes, I spotted Phil Chambers, John Saunders, Glyn Riley, John Peachey (I think) and Graham Pugh.

    I think it must have been filmed in late 1977, I was a final year student in Newcastle at the time so I never saw it at the time.

    We used a couple of clips of this for the film, particularly the drive through Lundwood. Loved watching it.

    Chennels is the only part of Barnsley that's not changed...

    That kid he spoke to who worked down t'pit - there must have been enough material in those trousers to cover t'pitch when it snowed. He could have had someone's eye if he kicked out with them on.

    There's a guy right at the back of the chennels in the part which used to be called the bodega with long hair and glasses.
    Not 100% sure but he looks like Dave Blandemoore brother of Ashley and Kelvin
