    Strange releasing him . Worth signing up , always looked decent when we faced him . Remember him at Southend tearing our defence apart that day

    Didn't he get promoted with Blackburn season before got 9 goals and 5 assists for bottom.club Bradford season just gone and he is a number 10. he will have no problem getting a club either low end championship or decent league one side will take him on I reckon.

    People are wanting us to sign a player that was part of the worst team in league one. No thank you. Seemed decent a couple of seasons ago but not pushed on at all. We need to be looking at better quality.

    I can't see us wanting him. He's just been part of one of the worst league one sides in years. I would be shocked if he found a championship club.

    I appreciate what others are saying but for me, he’s a good player, particularly if he was with a good team (like us) - we found to our cost what happens with injuries etc, so I honestly believe he’d be a really good addition

    Great player but we need to move away from signing 'number 10s' in my opinion.

    We play a style which either requires you to have pace, energy, intensity or physicality in midfield or a cutting edge further forward. It's not worked for the likes of Moncur and I don't see where Payne would fit in.

    It also shows how well Cauley Woodrow and Kieffer Moore do to score goals because we don't get that much service into them. A lot of goals came from outside the box last season. I'd like to see better distribution down the flanks because Mowatt and Mcgeehan won't have it their own way this season in the Championship.
