    Only poor games I remember were when he came back from suspension. I think that knocked his confidence briefly. He got over it though. He is a young lad & improving, so I see no reason to write him off at this point. It's good that we have options though to cover injury, suspension & loss of form. The fact he can play a few positions makes him a good impact sub / cover in the squad, a bit like Milner has done (he's obviously not his standard, but you know what I'm getting at).

    I personally think he's got the talent and application to get up to speed quicker than that. However, I may be wrong, and it could well take him a few months to adapt. In any case it's absolutely vital to have cover, as if he does have a dip in form, the last thing that's needed is him being stuck in the team, with his confidence getting eroded further and further each game. That would be catastrophic for all concerned.

    Brown was brilliant last season and has earned his crack at the championship. However it would be irresponsible to go into the season with him as the only option on the right. Feel the same about Thiam down the left. Very pleased we have strengthened already hopefully more to come.

    I understand that everyone has their opinions but I find it hard for anyone to come up with the idea that Browny hasn’t got what it takes to cut it in the Championship - like all the rest he has earned the right to be given a chance - I like the cut of his gib!

    Of course he has and I'm sure he'll get it. If other players come in they will have to perform to be ahead of him. If they do then that can only be a good thing?

    Obviously apart from the spring of youth and being a nanosecond out and getting sent off at Southend, the lad is one of the most accurate tacklers in the squad. Add this to his assist and work rate and the ability to notch important goals and the fact that super dan picks his squad on training and new lads got a shirt to steal.
    Good news for us.
    Alternatively ******* dynamite may play behind Thomas. Who knows

    What are you basing that on? He was outstanding at times last season, and is absolutely nowhere near his peak.
