Phil, I have deliberately posted absolutely no replies to your constant blatherings about stuff for weeks, in fact I'd say that they are one of the reasons I just don't bother posting/ logging on, but tonight I just want you to know the following. James Bree is not a nice guy, just because he comes from West Yorkshire. He's probably just a nice guy. He's not saying stuff because of "media training". Maybe he believes it? James Bree will not be a bad footballer if he is played out of position on Saturday. Quit your panic. He'll still be a good footballer, even if he struggles. There's not many Barnsley fans would slate one of their own stepping into such a scenario. By the same token, Marc Roberts will still be a good footballer, even if you find a quote by a manager, or some non-league statistic that says he had a bad game. Sam Morsy will be a good footballer, whether he has your approval or not. (Luckily for him he has it) Sam Winnall will still be a valuable player at this level because he scores goals. Scoring goals IS the MAIN attribute for a striker, whether you like it or not. Players are not brilliant just because they had a youth contract at Chelsea (see Kiwomya) Players can be plucked from non league and be successful (see Vardy amongst lots of others) Conor Hourihane is probably one of the best players you've seen at Oakwell. You've just decided otherwise. You don't have ownership to Jacob Brown, James Bree, and John Stones, just because you watched them in the U23s. The club you support is based on real life, not a computer game. It is coping admirably in the second tier, in spite of the fact it is up against much wealthier, and more well equipped clubs. Please stop this ridiculous campaigns against some players, and thumbs up for others. It's getting tiresome.
I know this thread is over. Love is natural and real But not for you, my love Not tonight my love Love is natural and real But not for such as you and I, my love Oh Mother, I can feel the soil falling over my head
''James Bree is not a nice guy, just because he comes from West Yorkshire. He's probably just a nice guy. '' That was a joke. I judge the players on games I've been to whilst they've been at the club. This season that means I will comment about ALL so far apart from WOLVES. You really just jump in. A lot of fans have views on the players. In the away end on Saturday this was the case. I stay mainly quiet apart from getting annoyed at Hogan. I don't drink much anyway and certainly not before watching Football. This allows me to concentrate and inturn allows me to listen to what people are saying around me. For the record. People don't have the love ins for certain players. I'm not sure what you've got against me here. Take Winnall, I've not been to a game in the last 12 month that people haven't complained about him. Burton away for example half time. Some guy digging into Sam at Half time. Think he may have been with you're friend and admin off here, forgot user name. Starts with H It happens. You don't like it that people don't your fav players. I look at them all the same. But with Bree. Yes I do want him to do well. It's natrual. Someone that i've seen a lot over the last few years. Nice lad. Also from West Yorkshire like myself. Brilliant. Why wouldn't I?
The point I'm making is that you don't need to have a perfect player. In fact it's impossible, especially at our level. I'm not bothered about favourites. You have no clue who my favourite player is. However, you want to pick holes in players, our own players, unnecessarily. That doesn't make you knowledgeable about football. Anyone can do that with any player. It's easy to find faults. Do you think that if someone moans about something that one player does in a game, it means that you're correct in thinking that player is rubbish? Let me tell you, I love this Barnsley team, but I will (during a game) say to the people I sit with "Winnall you need to come closer" "Bree you need to jockey" "Bradshaw you have to chase that ball" "Close down, Marley" etc etc. It can hardly be used in eviidence against me. I love all those players.
You are the person least likely to 'look at all players the same'. You make up your mind before you've seen them play based on where they were playing before. You decide who is good are bad without actually seeing them. Self knowledge is a wonderful thing.
I know it's Blackburn Rovers but still I cling Our defence never knows which way Simon Garner goes. rovers rovers rovers.
But sometimes I'd feel more fulfilled Making Christmas cards with the mentally ill I want to live and I want to love I want to catch something that I might be ashamed of
I rate Bree, I think he's looked a better player in the championship than league one which shows how much he's developing, just wish he could stay fit.
