Hecky said when the loan started they was no chance of us signing him Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Been obvious from day 1 he was never brought in with a chance of signing him in the summer. If someone comes in for Drinkwater he might get a second chance at Leicester with a new manager. If not I suspect some rich top half championship side will come in for him in the summer. Basically a team with a similar league position to us but with much more money.
Hecky said when he signed that he'd be going back to Leicester for next season. So I've never thought he would be signing. Cracking player tho Sent from the darkest recesses of a poisoned mind.
From what I understand, we aren't contributing to his wages. Hecky said that Leicester are "doing us a favour" by allowing him to come here. He wanted to come too by all accounts. Sent from space using satellites and things
A bit much saying they are doing us a favour as we are the ones having to play him whilst he has not been fit.
They were his exact words. He obviously feels that James isn't the sort of player we'd be able to sign usually. Sent from space using satellites and things
He was a bit off the pace against Rotherham, but since then he has been an improvement on what we've got. Not much of a hardship for us to 'play him whilst he has not been fit'.
Never thought we would sign him but good to see him play. The sort of loan the system should be used for rather than to facilitate premiership clubs having bloated squads they can never play.
The 'favour' bit as I took it was with regard to his wages - it sounds as if Leicester have given us a bit more assistance in that regard because we went to them with a plan for James to aid his fitness & progress etc, whereas other clubs didn't have that detail in their attempts to sign him.
