Obviously Carragher’s in the wrong but I’m more appalled at the bloke filming, he’s got his 14 year old daughter with him & he’s driving & filming on his iPhone & taunting another road user. What a ********. And it’s pretty obvious this isn’t the full clip, his daughter at the end says ‘stop it now’ that suggests he’s been taunting him for a while. I hope he gets 6 points on his license for using his phone at the wheel, it’d serve the moron right for selling his story. Makes me sick at the end him been happy that Carragher’s spat at his daughter & he’s got it on tape.
He should get sacked. What he did is worse than what they sacked Andy Gray for and Peter Beagrie got sacked for acting inappropriately towards a female. Not to worry though it will probably get him a lifetime contract with Bein Sports.
Its clearly not the full clip - and as everyone says the guy filming on his phone whilst driving needs prosecuting that said no matter what provocation no excuse for Carragher winding his window down and spitting like that - it probably will cost him his job - though my view is that that is a bit extreme but the media frenzy will doubtless leave Sky with no choice
That shows you up for what you really are. So a spit in someone’s face (awful but can be wiped off with no real long lasting psychological damage) is worse than years and years of systematical sexism and sexual harassment of work colleagues. How many a year kill themselves because someone has spit in their face? How many people do through being sexually harassed at work or anywhere for that matter.
I was thinking about his comments towards Sian Massey and his sexist pig actions with Charlotte Jackson. For me picking on a child is worse than comments towards an adult. Spitting is disgusting and worse than words. Touching someone is a different matter.
Picking on a child? So now a 14 years old married child was driving the car. This is going to be a massive scandal.
Many viruses can be transmitted through saliva, hepatitis for example. I don't thi k comparing 2 completely different horrible things is really necessary. I appreciate you didn't make the original comparison. Which is worse is hardly relevant and doesn't condone the other any way.
Peter Beagrie got sacked after being found guilty of assaulting his partner. Calling it "acting inappropriately" is more than a little bit euphemistic...
What I find strange is, when there's any mobile video footage of any football trouble, the poster is normally labelled a 'grass' Yet the same social media types are fine with goading and recording an incident, then passing that on to the papers.
As you say I didn’t make the comparison, but I’m arguing against that comparison to show how rediculous it was. If you do compare them though there’s no doubt in my mind which was is more dangerous. Unless Cardagher has been loving random men I’m pretty sure she’ll be fine.
Not that it’s really the point but it looks like he missed anyway. Trying to spit from one moving car to another doesn’t work very well if you aim straight.
If one of us was filmed doing that we would lose our job straight away. What's the difference with him??????
There’s just something about the act of spitting that makes it particularly odious and I for one can’t stand it so in my opinion there’s absolutely no excuse irrespective of the prior conduct of the gentleman with the camera that lead up to the incident. I also can’t stand where members of the general public go out of their way to abuse a public figure on camera in the hope that they’ll react so that they can then upload the footage online for likes/retweets. It’s pathetic.
The most shocking thing is Carragher’s reported £1m a year salary from Sky. I’m not sure how ex-footballers can command the same salary as during their playing days for doing something they are only borderline competent at.
