If jezza gets in, so will any Tom dick or Harry from anywhere in the world. Then dear Looney lefties, the likes of last Friday in Paris will happen every week. Hth
Just like Jimmy I agree with all of that. And yet the current approach clearly isn't working, which raises the question - where exactly do we go from here?
I honestly don't have an answer to that, well not a simplistic one. I sincerely believe that boots on the ground are needed in these places but destroying an enemy does not kill an ideology. I'm just a humble project manager and Barnsley fan, I don't have a solution to this problem but having said that I don't think our world leaders do either.
Maybe the current approach needs a bit of Perseverance, maybe the approach is hampered (one arm up the back),people tripping up wondering if their upsetting someone, scared they maybe sued, brought before a court. That's the question I want answering,if the hard line is not what is wanted/needed what you gonna suggest
I like the guy and to be honest I'm getting sick of seeing him mis-quoted, his words twisted or complete lies written about him. Last week was a disgrace. They tried to make out he's not bowed during the remembrance service but he had just not gone down as much as certain Murdoch owned papers would like him to. They then failed to mention that he spent time afterwards speaking to war veterans whilst Cameron & co buggered off
Fair enough, but what's the difference in that and his 'fans' conveniently forgetting/overlooking the ridiculous stuff that he has definitely said?
Yet again Corbyn is denounced as a raving loony with no grasp of the real world and should he ever, God forbid, become leader of the country then Western Civilisation is doomed. What a load of utter pap. The guy is merely stating that Western Governments should try and act within the framework of the law wherever possible. Too damn right we should. If we resort to bombing and murdering people (sometimes innocent people as we all know is the case) then how the hell can we claim to be 'better' than ISIS, or 'superior' in any way? We can't. Ok, so the evil barstewards of ISIS have committed gross atrocities which have shocked and continue to shock anyone with a sense of decency. The decent thing is to do as Corbyn says and aim, primarily for a political solution in those states (including ours) that cultivate and encourage evil. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that stance. Bombing the f**k out of people does not in itself do any good in a situation like this other than pander to the gut reaction of the need for revenge. We have to be grown up and see beyond the gut reaction and keep to our own democratic belief in right and wrong and the ideas of law and justice. If we overreact we attack ourselves.
No it bloody doesnt help, you imbecile ! Find me one credible quote of him saying he will let ANYONE in the Country, I dont mean from any Tory rag, but a genuine quote !
Tory friend said Corbyn would let every Tom Dick or Harry into the country whilst forgetting the fact that 6 years down the line immigration is rising year on year
Must be true, then. Very depressing seeing a majority on a Barnsley forum supporting Tory rumours / media / policy. Absolutely shameful.
Mr reev Be careful...... IIRC you championed one Liz Kendall I do believe - what was it 4.5% of the vote? Jeremy Corbyn claimed 59.5% of the vote And that dare I say it, gives you no authority on the politics of the Labour party Then again you might like starting wars in countries like Ms Kendall's mate Tony Bliar If I were you ( and I'm glad I'm not) I'd shuddup....pronto...to save whatever face you have left HTH
this is the bit I get really irritated by, on here why when anybody has an opinion does it get slotted into a Tory / Labour split. Are people really that blinkered that they have to follow any particular party line as a matter of course. That just falls into the stereotype of stick a Labour badge on a donkey and they will vote for it. Everybody has the right to assess a position and form an opinion, personally I don't give a **** what party has what opinion and if anybody doesn't agree with a thing they have a right to say so.
It was you that insinuated that a Barnsley forum should follow a Labour line. I just pointed out that grown ups should be capable of formulating an opinion all on their own!
To be honest I'm not an expert on what he's said in the past. I've gone off politics & not paid that much attention to it since the Iraq war, lost faith in it. All I know is that on various occasions in the past few weeks I've read headlines attributed to Corbyn that make him sound like a nutter & then read the full story & his words have been completely twisted
Just seen his interview with Lautra Kunsberg on t.v saying he does not believe in a "shoot to kill policy" what planet does this man live on.
