Bumped into him a couple of times after the match in pinnochios. I thought I'll not pester him so I just said well played Jim. To my surprise, he was interested in my thoughts on the game and how long I'd been a supporter etc. Boring story i know but thought id share. Oh and thinner than a bloody racing snake he was.

Unfortunately for him he has three exceptionally gifted technical players in front of him in the pecking order - James Maddison, Jacob Murphy and Joe Cole.

One of my favourites from recent years, top lad who gave his all. Seen him out and about in Barnsley a few times when he was here and he was always welcome for a chat! **** hot dress sense too.

Romantic claptrap about O'Brien. He is no doubt a nice chap. Some people on here are too. He also gave his all when he was on the pitch and that's brill. However, he was never good enough at Championship level and was mediocre at League 1 level. I hope he does ok at his new club BECAUSE he seems like a nice bloke and he tries hard but please lets not over-romanticise someone. He was never good enough.

No one in this thread has said they thought he was good enough at Championship level, although he was certainly no worse than many players that we've had at that level, the difference being that at least he put the effort in and he had genuine feelings for the club and supporters. That's all really.

He moved back to Barnsley in the summer apparently according to the Coventry telegraph.

Not happy with the commute and the lack of game time.

Is he still with that Katy Perry tribute act from Tarn? Think she was on 'Take Me Out', maybe wrong.
