Great to read Josh@s comments today. " Last season was incredible ,this seasons been amazing" Totally agree with him. It was great to have 2 Wembley wins,2 cups and a promotion.Like wise this season mixing with the "big boys" and more than holding our own. Long may it continue.
Sounds like contract discussions ongoing too. Hopefully Josh and Marley follow Hammills road and re-sign despite most of us expecting summer departure. Would make summer recruitment a hell of a kick start, and would hope the club offer them both very good champ deals (within sensible reason), would cost a few million to find ready made replacements.
His comments are just sweet talking before he swans off in the summer. I've no doubt he's enjoyed his time with us, but I think those kind of comments will get peoples hopes up that he will stay but i'd say that's false hope. We all know most football players put money before anything else such as love for a club, what they have recently achieved etc.
Will all come down to money. i.e. most likely Marley & Josh will leave Both would be sadly missed, although easier to replace than Hourihane & James.
I'd love to see Scowen and Watkins stay, but I can't imagine it'll happen. Not only are they good players, and always give their all, but we could do with a bit of continuity. We could be starting next season with very few of the current team.
