20 minute hat trick and Tom Bradshaw scored against us.

Has Dyer been injured most of the season? Hardly heard him mentioned until recently when he’s suddenly been amongst the goals. Would love him to break through with us.

Wouldn't be against him being on the bench.

Josiah is very young and raw. Talented but loads to learn.

He’s doing great and hopefully he’s a) got a great future and b) it’s with us! But calls for him to be in first team are crazy.

Id like to see him spend some of next season on loan at national league level, see where he’s at.

Didn't he go on loan for a bit earlier in the season?

Was at FC United for a month who I think play in northern premier league, 2 divisions below the National League.

I think it's still 3 players allowed above the age of 21 mate. So you'd certainly qualify :p

On a serious note, in the small glimpses I've seen of Dyer outside of the U21s, he's looked extremely raw. Shouldn't be in the first team, yet. Doing well for the u21s and hopefully it continues, he improves and we see the best of him in the next few years. Along side of Jalo, Atkinson, James etc!

If we’re in this division next season, I think Jalo will become a lot more involved, even a starter. Could be like a new signing.

If we are in league one next year would love us to rebuild around these young lads. Marsh too. Could be a genuine 3 year plan for people to get behind.

A big proportion of our fan base don’t have the patience to get behind a 3 year plan. If we played the young lads and finished mid table or lower there’d be calls to sack another manager and sign some experience and sack the board.

Irrelevant of success/failure of the spreadsheet I believe the issue at our club is we do only seem to plan very short term and actually having a long term plan both on and off the pitch would serve us better long term.
Appreciate some will cite financial issues making it a pressing need but others are making it work.

Sounds like a plan were not going to spend our way out of this league so patience is needed. Honesty is the key for me tell the fanbase the plan obviously no guarantee but were going with a core of our own young players some brought in and a bit of experience risky but what's the viable alternative.

Agreed. If the club was clear and its communication and stated that he had a long-term vision for 11 Academy based players to be in the first team then I do think the vast majority of the town would actually get behind the idea.
