Nay, we see Pele at nearly every match in his Dearne FM PT Cruiser. He only summarises now as that's all they've the rights for, I don't know much about broadcasting but surely the cost of the actual commentary (if you own the rights) is negligble compared to Pele's treavel/beer costs?

Time to make a stance - pay us the same or off to Dearne FM!!! Go Gordy!

Well, it's what we live under..It don't mean it is right!!

I just think that this is more than more money being offered to Wednesday and United, it's because Dee Dah dared to criticise the club last season and we can't have that can we?

 

And don't forget Andy Giddings

Dee Dah never will (and probably never have) pay us as much as Wednesday and United.

What I also mean is the frequency range of Dearne is not that great so some fans will miss out.

well done to the club for taking this stand...it looks as if they have also listened to fans complaining about the biased airplane towards the fowls and blunts!!!!!!

Basically he hadn't a clue what the significance of the Leeds delayed result meant to Barnsley fans who were all tuned in waiting. Radio Leeds and Humber (Hull fans) were live from Elland Road and Giddings was banging on about Wednesday missing the playoffs and United looking safe (he he he)

Once the result was in he still didn't realise Barnsley were safe and kept syaing so then Reds fans do you think you'll stay up.

When Dave Cooper interviewed Simon Davey he made sure Giddings knew he was a pillock, rather than admitting he was wrong he rather arrogantly implied he knew all along and us thicko Barnsley fans were misinterpretting him.

Some Red's fans rang in to complain and he denied he was clueless and encouraged the Dee Dahs with the it's a sheffield station if you little Barnsley people don't like it **** off.

It slightly soured what otherwise was a fantastic day.

 

Just been talking to a mate who is employed by sheff. u who tells me that the reason radio sheff. is in conflict with Barnsley is because both sheff clubs are receiving a lot more money from this radio station and that the reds are at the bottom of the pecking order. How true it is I just do not know but my buddy is well in the know with sheff. u.
