Beefy was another you used to say had a worthless opinion, not played the game for years so knows nowt. Consistently inconsistent. Bravo.

 

He clearly wants answers, he has never been afraid of speaking out. Anyway it really won't matter once the dust settles, the decision has been made and it isn't going to be reversed.

By the way how do you think Beefy would have dealt with KP had they played in the same team?

 

That is a good pount. Its only a few weeks ago that you called Botham an idiot and questioned his knowledge of the modern game so why does his opinion matter now?

I think from listening to a lot of different people including Vaughan and harmison you just have to be straight with him. I think Botham would have been the same. Vaughan said tonight hes got a good cricket brain, better than most in the current cricket squad. He will understand batting more than Ian so when Ian's bowling speak to him and he might have a golden nugget how to get him out.

In the article i posted from before it said a lot of the younger players speak to KP and he helps them.

I think Beefy would have knocked him out had he behaved like he has done in his changing room. Having said that as a commentator Beefy clearly rates him as a batsman and wants answers from the ECB. Being the greatest player this country has produced gives him a presence that allows him that kind of influence. Like I said Beefy demanding answers doesn't make the decision wrong.

 

We'll have to wait to the summer but by reading that I think he wants him in the team.

No wonder you and BigLil get on well together - well I assume you do - when the two of you can recollect so much "nonsense" (with some facts thrown in along the way) from the past. I don't recall our West Yorkshire friend respecting Botham as much in the past as he has done today i.e. since he started showing some support for KP.

Clearly Hemmsy's "black and white" views on people also have some shades of grey now too - depending on whatever argument he is trying to win.
