And I'm not intending to bash a young player unnecessarily, (not that he's particularly young in the context of our squad, but still, he is young), but did anyone see George Williams after they scored the third?

He makes just about the worst defensive header there has ever been, directly leading to their goal, then turns round and has a go at Adam Davies.

Er, I reckon you just have to hold your hands up there George lad

Williams clearly thought Davies should have come out and taken that ball and wasn't expecting to have to head it clear, hence the reason for it being such a poor clearance. Hard to tell from the highlights whether Davies could have come for it...

Makes little odds whether Davies could come or not. Williams has nobody particularly near him, no real pressure. Davies may have got there but maybe he assessed no danger as Williams had no pressure on a simple enough clearance. Head it backwards for a corner, out for a throw or high and straight forward, owt. Elaborate chest trap, couple of Cruyff turns, put t'kettle on and clear. Do what you like.

Just not head it low and straight towards the edge of the box central to the goal with no power. Had he done any of the above, then reprimanded his keeper for not coming - I'd maybe sympathise.

Training with the u21s, kids, wherever he has been is not an excuse for being unable to head a bread and butter cross to somewhere remotely safe.
