He has only played 11 games for Ipswich and I don' think they were all starts. Every transfer is a gamble I don't know if he will be good or bad. I hope we don't start breaking wage structure though for a player who isn't yet proven at this level.
Don't believe we will be paying him anything near 10 grand a week especially after listening to what the new owners had to say.The clincher for the player will be we're offering championship footy not the money .
Was discussing this with @Loko the Tyke and a few others and I thought this was a good point from Loko: "He breaths off his PR the P'Boro Chairman. If he can convince the fans he's gone for 10k a week he's saving face. Will be miles off" Could also just be the players agent trying to get a better deal out of PBoro by inflatint the wage on offer. Can't take this at face value imho.
Not wanting to quibble over a few grand a week but the actual tweet read "nearly 5 figures per week". There's a lot of scope for exaggeration in that. Could be anything upward of £7k. Still a lot of money but not "a 5 figure wage" as some seem to now be focusing on.
Well let’s fill a thread up with loads of posts saying they don’t fancy Moore as a player so if and when he signs he knows exactly how underwhelmed some fans are. Tarn logic. I think some folk need to realign their ambitions. Just because our owners have a lot of money does not mean they’re going to spend a load of it. They made it very clear they weren’t going to go ‘crazy’. Signing the second top scorer from league one, who is a big target man, is a marked improvement to the league two and non league signings which came before. Moore is playing and scoring for a decent league one side and will provide a lot of what we lack. I’d sooner buy him then take Oli McBurnie (3 goals above conference level) on loan for example. Grow up, get real and get behind whoever is signed.
