Here's that interview. Chillingly prophetic words.

Knasmullner was terrible in training. That's why he hardly ever got a look in.

I’ve heard from a couple of different people who are normally reliable for info that he came very close to resigning in January 2017 & that from that point on he was seeking other jobs

Anyone who turned up to watch the under 23’s game not long after the January window shut where Knasmullner & quite a few other senior pros played will have come away questioning Knasmullner.

In a game where you would expect a new signings to be eager to impress he barely ran, pulled out of every challenge & barely spoke or interacted with any of his team mates.

On Hecky, a lots been said about signings but for me it’s pretty obvious he had very little say in them, yes he claimed in a couple of interviews he had final say but he’s got to hasn’t he? How’s he expect to keep players on side & get 100% from them if he’s openly saying he didn’t sign them in press conferences. It wouldn’t work.

Common sense tells you he had very little say, Knasmullner, Cavare, Thiam? Hard to believe he was scouting any of these, same as someone like Ugbo, it’s easy to reel off a line or two in a press conference that you were impressed with him for Chelsea U23’s but anyone can say that, it’s hard to believe that when we’re playing Saturday - Tuesday’s most weeks & got our own training & our opponents tactics to focus on that our managers spending much time watching Chelsea’s kids.

Much more believable signings that could be Hecky’s are ones like Kieffer Moore, Matt Mills, Zeki Fryers, Gary Gardner, Jason McCarthy & of course Lloyd Isgrove who I’m sure he’s seen a fair bit of but even then it’s guess work.

I’m also pretty confident that no championship manager would pack his team with kids with barely any championship experience if they really have much say on transfers.

It's also fair to say that lots of managers signed many a player on the back of a DVD sent in from an agent or scout. Im not sure either system is particularly fool proof.

No-one is asking the important questions. Did Knasmullner play more first-team minutes than Richard Kell?
