No, because you are making a stupid comparison , besides we have all seen hours of Sanchez playing, even my wife can tell you he is world class, however , I still say you cannot judge a player without seeing them or its not fair to pre judge but you obviously do , so we disagree
He's probably at his peak now at the age of 27. Getting rave reviews at Chesterfield but I don't think in the long term he'll play any higher than league 1. A few other teams have been looking at him from what I gather but all lower league 1 top end league 2 teams.
So you don't look at his CV and think he might not be Championship quality? OK. We will beg to differ.
Its the club who do their research & decide who to sign or not to sign , my original point was, that if the club do choose to sign a player, us as fans should not write them off before we have seen them , I asked you how much have you seen of this lad to make your judgement ? , you never answered
Nothing. I know that he is 28 in March and has one decent season in League Two to his name. Regardless of anything else that does not sound like a striker who will make it in the Championship. In my opinion. If we sign him I hope to be proved wrong.
Me neither and especially in this case where the stats are pretty good. Classic example Ashley Fletchers stats are pretty poor but we have seen him play and 99% of us would drive up to Boro and fetch him ourselves if that would get him back. But on stats alone we wouldn't touch him with a barge pole
It's exactly what I said in my earlier post that you quoted; I thought he looked really good, but he was playing against sixth tier opposition, so it's massively difficult to judge whether or not he could make the step all the way to the second tier...
To be honest , you have to back the judgement of Hecky & his team & if we do sign anyone , then after period of time , we all make our own minds up if the player is a good signing or not , which brings me back to my reasoning that it is very hard to judge a player without actually seeing the lad play
There are lots of talented players in the Lower leagues Charlie Wyke is one I’m surprised someone isn’t having a punt on and Ozemer (??) at Walsall.
Earlier on this thread was next to the one about Stefan Payne. Which made me think of Stefan Dennis. Don't It Make You Feel Good?
No I'm more of a Gayle and Gillian fan. Not of their music though exactly. Actually Stefan does have a Barnsley connection as he has a brother called John. Probably wouldn't make a good striker though as he is best known for playing ruthless businessman Paul Robinson, no fan of union action.
