periodically box appears on screen says - 'Script error -an error has occurred on this page - do you want to continue running script - yes/no.' I click on 'no' - box disappears than reappears immediately. This happens about 4/5 times then box disappears for a while. When the box is there can't do anything with laptop How can I get rid of it for good - thanks.
Do you use IE? This error window normally shows when an IE browser has a bit of trouble with JavaScript. If you switch to an evergreen browser like Chrome, Firefox or Edge, you will run into fewer script errors as some are caused by IE not supporting the latest script versions (es2015 and es6) If you get this when no internet browser is open then it is going to be a bit harder to resolve.
You can disable the script debugger - if you Google it then it will give you step by step instructions. Either that or as jamdrop said switch to chrome
It's usually an error on the website you are visiting (hopefully not this one!), often a mistake by whoever has designed the website (hopefully not JamDrop's husband!).
Why do I open threads with obvious titles. When I know less about modern technology than my 2 yrs old granddaughter. (Edit my missus says it's cos I'm a nosey bugger)
Im assuming its one that doesnt have a version per se like IE had? Something that updates itself. May be completely wrong!
