    This is how I remember that particular transfer from February 1987 (so I'm probably totally wrong!:D):-
    1. Sheffield Wednesday offer £200,000 for Larry May;
    2. After losing Ian Knight, David Hirst & Andy Kiwomya to Wednesday in the previous 9 months, Barnsley turn down the offer:
    3. May wants to sign for Wednesday, with rumours of him threatening to go on strike if he can't being rife at the time;
    4. Chairman Geoff Buckle says May won't be sold until we've signed a replacement first;
    5. May signs for Sheffield Wednesday for £200,000;
    6. Barnsley sign his replacement, Paul McGugan from Celtic for £50,000. In October 1987.
