Just another example of how the club should be careful about what/how they say things.
Everyone associated with any football club wants the deals done as early as possible and would suspect that is what he meant however the reality is as you have pointed out it just doesn’t happen(generally).

All that statement becomes is an easy cheap shot for some to criticise the club/people.

 

I also think part of the increased intensity was on the back of a really terrible window in Jan and then all the noise about being prepared for the next window in the summer.

 

Whilst the performance first half was dreadful, there was no luck involved in only being 1-0 down. Beyond their goal, Rotherham were denied by Cooper, Barratt and Shepherd who did their job. That’s not luck.

I get the increased intensity bit and after Jan rightly so but don’t see how that justifies people taking someone stating the obvious as a literal promise and then criticise as vocally as they do.
Like you have said today at end of window it should be judged.
As I’ve said before though about Neerav the club should learn.
