From the horses mouth. His performance for Sweden v England had nothing to do with it though.

I hope we had a sell on fee for him.

Tbf, he’s by far the most (only?) experienced player we have with premiership games, he was always going to do the business in L1, and I for one was delighted we had got him and palmed off Bradderz to Millwall before he kicked a ball, and we did have to wait a while for that!! Not sure this new guy is in the same bracket, but let’s see, might be more backup tbh.

I'd be really surprised if we start many games in a 4-4-2. 4-4-1-1 , with Bahre at number 10 seems most likely, or a narrow 4-3-3, with full backs pressing on & two midfielders holding back. Bahre the most forward of a 3 in midfield. See him as Stendel's playmaker, as far as how the team is set up.

Coventry paid £500,000 for him. Portsmouth sold him to Coventry because they didn't want him to
join a promotion rival. Read somewhere that we've paid £750,000 , with add ons probably taking
the figure close to £1 million.

That would make sense really, because Portsmouth have a twenty per cent sell on clause that
Coventry will have to pay. The actual fee therefore depends on the profit Coventry want to make on
him re- £100k or £300k. Whatever it is, we've paid it, because he's a player we've wanted for some time.
