Huge credit to Blackpool fans continuing to boycott whilst Karl Oyston is in charge...... https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...tt-fans-league-two-play-off-final-exeter-city Two huge Wembley followings in the past of over 30,000 and today night struggle to crack 6,000. Been looking on their supporters pages there is evidence of free tickets being handed out so it doesn't look as empty but I don't know how many of them will have been handed out. Martin Samuels in his Daily Mail column the other day said fans should go to the game for themselves. Typical London based top flight reporter that has no idea about lower league football. Must be so difficult today to not being going to cheer on their team, but they are doing the right thing.
Gary Bowyer for me is up there with Sean Dyche as manager of the season. To get them promoted with all that termoil going on is a massive achievement. In the 23k attendance Blackpool can't have had much more than a quarter of it. Watkins failed his big chance to show what the hype is about. Pretty much did nothing all game, playing like someone who knows he's off so didn't want to risk an injury that might jeopardisea move.
Yes well done to the orange Lashers, and can you believe they have won more play off finals than anybody else. I thought Luton would be slight favourites against them in the Semis but I do know of Blacky's good record when it comes to the play offs, and they were always favourites to win today. And speaking of Gary Bowyer, he can now take the Lashers back to his former club Blackburn again next season in Lg One. (remember he got to do it this season when they put us out of the Fa cup)
I think bowyer has done well to get them promoted with the negativity towards the owners. On the other hand the amount of fans at wembley to support the teams means very little last season hull,us and Wimbledon all won outnumbered by the opposition. And blackpool have a good young squad hecky should be looking to take a couple off their hands brad potts would be nice.
