    If true, its the first big test for our new owners. Wasn't the line from Lord Hecking of Bottom that the club expected to be able to have more of a say in when players were sold?

    10m+ or get lost. Swansea paid 5.5m for Mawson with almost no championship experience and he didn't have as long on his contract.

    Letting him go for 6m would be bad business. It's a big fee but the current market is utterly mental and we should be getting more.

    Can we tempt them with McDonald instead?
    If they really are offering £6Million thats a bit of a dilemma for the club - I dont think he is worth that yet - in fact I think Pinnock is the better CB, but I dont think we can afford to sell Linday at this stage - the defence is finally starting to work (Saturdays experimental first half aside) and as we may well lose Yids we really cant afford another defender to go - at least until Jackson is fully recovered
