I have been critical of using the loan system as it is NOT the way forward, but given our predicament at this moment in time and providing it propels us up the table, then so be it.
I think there's a difference between attracting young lads from decent teams who are striving to make a name for themselves rather than time wasters just along for the money.
Certainly on wages there is. I'd imagine Kiwomya, Waring and Pearson are costing us next to nowt in wages. Probably less than 1 David Fox.
Never been a fan of the loan system in the past as we've usually had a massive squad and then brought loan players in on top. This season the squad is small, without the loan players we would have been unable to field a team this last couple of months due to injuries. Ramage has been here that long it's like he's our player rather than a loan. His commitment to Barnsley appears to be just as strong if not more so than any permanent player we've ever had. I can't believe he hasn't been offered a deal elsewhere but he's chosen us. Then we've brought three kids in, I'm not sure we're relying on them. They may play today, but they may not. They're here for a month initially. If Wilson thinks they have the talent and can improve us, he'll play them and extend their loans. If he doesn't, they'll go back. We might have the chance to see some very talented players at the outset of their career. Or they might not be ready and we'll see very little of them. Either way, I don't think they're going to be taking up a major portion of the budget like loan players have in the past.
Utds young lads are on good money, and I'd say we'd been courting him for months so we'll be paying a good percentage I would have thought
Omfg and your name on here is 'tarnforever'? Change it to 'townslaggeroferer' Dont you think people at the club are trying to do their best and unlike cheatski we can 'sign' every player on the planet? ??????
I bet there isn't a team in the football league who doesn't have loanees in there squad. It's part and parcel of football.
