    Back for the new season

Unfortunately our one loanee Brad Ash didn't get in the Boreham Wood squad yesterday for their 2-2 draw with AFC Fylde

I wonder if any of the U23 lads will go out before the end of this month if we get more bodies in?

Payne and Brown possibly if we get a couple of strikers in.

Yes hopefully the likes of Josh Kay, Jared Bird as well as the strikers may get some football away from Oakwell by the end of the month

Once again no football unfortunately for Ash as Boreham Wood lost 1-2 to Dagenham & Redbridge

Unfortunately the same again for Ash; they won 4-1 though against Solihull Moors

Very odd. Seemed to be scoring for fun out on loan last season and yet can't get a sniff this.

Yeah think he got about 20 last term albeit in a league below. Shame he's got no action so far, unless he's injured. Hopefully that will change very soon

Heard he's got a bad injury. Been seen around the club this last week. Dunno what he's done but apparently looks like a lengthy spell out.

Alex Mowatt couldn't get in the match day squad for Oxford United as they drew 1-1 against MK Dons. He'll be hoping to get some football soon

    Ash presumably still injured

Not a good start for Mowatt, or maybe he wasn't fit enough to play

He only joined them 3 days ago. I can imagine wanting to have him on the training pitch for a bit to bed him in first.

Yes I know that but I'm sure he will have expected to have been involved in some way, not watching from the stands.

I seem to remember that Brad Potts signed for us and was in after only a couple of days. Mowatt will be chomping at the bit to get his playing career going again, either at Oxford or with someone else.

Alex Mowatt was a 59th minute substitute for Oxford United in their 1-3 defeat to Blackpool

One other line: Academy goalkeeper Jake Greaterex joined Penistone Church on loan and today made his debut in their 0-3 defeat to Harrogate Town in the FA Cup 2nd Round Qualifying. Despite the defeat, it was a result Penistone could be proud of, especially as it was 0-0 at half-time, against the full-time opponents
