I take your point to a degree. He is, however, CEO. How can he NOT have been centrally involved in the deal? It's front and central in his role. I'd love to know exactly how all this happened. I'd love to be able to commend those who took swift action to get rid of Hex. Maybe that was Khaled too. I doubt we'll ever fully know. Like it or not though the CEO at Barnsley is exactly in the same boat as the team manager and the Board of Directors. They are all critical to the success or failure of OUR club. I don't think there's a single one of us on here that can claim they didn't want at least one of Schopp, Asbaghi or Conway ousted or sacked last season. Khaled is the same. He has to live or die by his performance. The Hex fiasco could actually turn out to be an unexpected PR win in the long run. It very nearly brought the club into disrepute though. I'd hope that, at least internally, someone is being asked some very hard questions.
