I’d happily drive him to Elland Road if he wants. Disloyal and only sees us as a stepping stone and proved it with trying to pressure us into selling him by appearing on Sky Sports News.

After the disrespect he showed the club last summer, I never wanted to see him wearing a Barnsley shirt ever again and I’m still in the same mindset now so for me, it’s a “get gone.” Been average/crap this season anyhow and he’s very replaceable.

Hope we keep hold of Ethan Pinnock though, been very good this season and would be a must in L1.

You're delusional if you think there's any player that doesn't see us as a stepping stone.

He did nothing wrong and was fantastic last season.

Your opinion he was good, mine is he was crap so each to their own and nowt delusional about it. I’d rather someone want to be here than someone who couldn’t give a toss like Yids.

He gave far more of a toss than other players (e.g. Moncur) and never shirked a challenge even though an injury could scupper his move this summer. He's been a great player for us and leaves with my best wishes.

No doubt he was excellent before last summer and this isn’t about no wishing him well because he does go with my best wishes but I’m glad he will be going.

Was our best full back at the club but that’s not saying much. Will probably get a top half championship club but is not prem class at minute and probably never will be . I notice as team captain he hasn’t made any statement about being disappointed at our relegation or any thank you s to the fans for there loyal support during a shocking campaign. Most probably couldn’t wait to jump ship .

It’s such as that what makes my piss itch, Gaz. No statement or thank you to the fans or the club itself which shows you he couldn’t give a toss.

After his failed push for a move, he’s lucky he wasn’t just left to rot in the reserves and should remember that it was us who gave him his big chance.

He did exactly the same when he left Barnet to join us So it's not really a surprise he has run his contract down again. Not had a great season but has been surrounded by poor players. He went to the African nations in Jan 17 and returned to find we had sold the squad off. I suspect from that point on he never had any thoughts of extending his stay.

How’s it a wind up you mong? It’s an honest assessment from me. You either agree or you don’t, I’m not really fussed. Everyone has their own opinions.

Look at the way Hourihane left us with a bit of class. Personally couldn’t give a toss that he’s leaving but like a say a few words from your captain would to be expected I’d have thought. Maybe he’s tired.

Personally I never cared for this bit of class approach. He or people around him obviously better at PR than other players. But whatever statement he put out, they all just make the same decsion. More money, bigger club. It really is a no brainer.

Hahahaha mong? I think this thread proves who that is.

None of our (permanent) players had great years last season but Yiadom was certainly in the top 3 performers.

Let me ask you this, would you have this opinion if he still had another year on his contract? Or if he’d signed an extension last January? My guess is not.

If he had made a statement , he would have been ripped to bits by such as yourself , however by keeping quiet as he has done all season , he as shown a bit of dignity & to be honest , after he got injured it would have been easy for him to have seen his time out in the treatment room , but he chose to roll up his sleeves & get on with it, he always put a shift in & gave it his best , its a pity a few more who are sat on contracts did not have the same attitude , if so we would be in the championship next season. I conclude by saying , whoever they bring in to replace him will have to be a damn good player as he was the best full back at the club by a country mile & will take some replacing

Of course I wouldn’t and again, my view is based on the facts that he hasn’t wanted to be here for almost a year and that he hasn’t played particularly well this season.

    I agree with you that none of the permanent players had a great year and if you had to ask me who I saw as the top 3 performers then I’d say;

    Pinnock

Bradshaw (although his form did dip)

    Potts

See I’ll probably get grief for saying Potts because it’s currently cool amongst our fans to hate him but I think he’s been our best player in a lot of games.

Wouldn’t get no grief from me if he put a statement out because I was past caring about him last August. I said my piece back then on it and left it till now and as I said in a previous reply, I do wish him the best like I do every player.

If you were past caring about him last August it proves you had already made your mind up , so it does not matter how well he played all season , the die had been cast in your eyes 9 months ago

Think he’d make an ideal wingback for some club .
