http://www.millwall.vitalfootball.co.uk/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=125530&posts=31 They really are a special lot down there aren't they? Really enjoyed beating them this aft, but it feels even better now after reading this drivel.
This guy starts off being fair and then reverts to type. I've never heard such a load of ********, particularly about our fans behaviour at Wembley. https://twitter.com/tv_lions/status/914228122152837126
In case any of them are reading: No-one likes you, no-one likes you, No-one likes you, cos you're scum. You are Millwall, shitty Millwall, And you're heading for League 1
Dear o dear. Was he not at Wembley when their lot charged across the upper tier to confront women and children? The man is a f uckin idiot. Millwall. Horrible club with horrible supporters.
The majority of them always find some convoluted way of making whatever happens someone else's fault. I think it must be siege mentality.
Christ, there's some nasty and also hilariously thick people on that forum. I hope that's not representative of their fan base as a whole, but then I wouldn't be surprised... I particularly liked the bloke who said northerners have massive chips on their shoulders, at the end of a 500 word essay slating northerners. Irony seemingly not his strong point.
Lazy racism and homophobia on the same thread. Particularly piss funny how people from f.cking Bermondsey talk about living standards in Manchester, one of the most urbane and cultural cities in Europe. The thick cants.
Another favourite the guy who can't spell 'epitome' calling Northern people thick. And another special reference about accents from people who talk like Danny Dyer. The absolute bell washes.
Because of its notoriety when asked where they live or originate from, the majority of locals refer to the area as Docklands or the very aptly named Isle of Dogs. Don't know why the football Club is still called Millwall, as they have played in Bermondsey and not Millwall for nigh on a hundred years now. I used to work with a lad from Millwall and quite frankly he was ashamed as to how the supporters of the Club repeatedly dragged the areas name through the mud. He loved the scenery and open spaces in and around South Yorkshire and used to say he would never ever return back there. Only been through Bermondsey once after an overnight stay in the London Bridge area. I was heading South to visit family in Poole and remember thinking " if the World had piles, this is where they would be."
Thing is - why hasn't clubs with a load of fans willing to have a go like Chelsea, West Ham etc got a bad name like Millwall and Leeds have? The difference is that there is an unwritten rule amongst the proper football hoolies that YOU DO NOT target ordinary fans. Clubs like Millwall and Leeds have got their reputation because a load of young lads have tagged on to them over the years because of their reputation - who believe that to keep the reputation going it's ok to target ALL opposition fans. Typical Example - Millwall throwing coins at families at Wembley. I wouldn't take kids to watch any match against Millwall and Leeds. I've come across Leeds fans over the decades when they have been confronted with like for like numbers of opposition fans Derby, Sheff U, Chelsea and I've yet to see Leeds fans win one. Would imagine Millwall are in a similar position darn sarf when confronted with the likes of Chelsea, West Ham etc.
In the minds of some Millwall fans the events of Wembley have been completely changed around. Their version of events is the polar opposite of just about everyone else who watched it. Even the evidence of it being recorded by TV cameramen has been edited in their minds.
