Is it the one that implies he has a large manhood because of the stereotype associated with black men?
It's not strictly racist but highlights a stereotype commonly associated with black guys. Even though it's clearly light hearted and probably meant to be complimentary given the context, any stereotype linked to a BAME demographic isn't tolerated and is probably better left out of chants. Not racist in any discriminatory context but probably not appropriate either given the climate.
Its stereotypical that black men have big cocks, lukaku released a statement asking fans not to sing it, when Bruce Dyer player for us I cant imagine him feeling comfortable with us all signing about how big his penis is with his kids and wife sat in the crowd. Wouldn't sing it and I find it abit strange signing about another blokes **** but whatever...
Some folk got offended on his behalf. Lets be right theres not a bloke in the world gonna be offended by folk saying hes got a massive chopper.
Lukaku got offended. I'm not sure why anyone would go to a football game and sing about another blokes ****. Yes we have a black player who plays for us surely were not going to start singing songs that make us look simple and backwards??
I find it weird, tends to be just the blokes with little uns that want to make a big deal about us with massive uns.
I’m proud to say I’ve often overheard my Mrs bragging to her friends about me, it’s not uncommon to hear her say, “oh he’s here look the massive ****”
It implies a racial stereotype and therefore is racist. Plus I can't comprehend why a group of men would want to sing about another blokes parts, it's weird.
Aside from the fact it's not really appropriate, it's not even funny. It's just a crap chant, that makes us look a bit cheap, tacky and tin pot. Love songs about players, but we need to show a bit more class than this, and a bit more originality, instead of copying stuff Celtic/ Man Utd fans post on You Tube.
Lukakus comments came about after pressure from various external bodies inc kick it out. His comments don’t suggest he was offended. The best part of two months went by where that chant was commonplace before an eye was battered... I will also expect, that the next time we play Doncaster that people will be suitably enraged about the racial stereotypes people call fans of that club...
