why? ...... no seriously ..... WHY ? never watched it but seen the force fed trailers. Does anyone have such a pathetically low enough intelligence to watch this crap.
https://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/what-time-masked-dancer-tonight-24212362 Ten million watched the grand final of The Masked Singer. It's hugely popular and is aimed at all ages. You should give it a try.
Absolutely awful show, saw it once never again, the panelists jumping around like kids whoop whooping, way over the top, very american like...
I think I would rather stick pins in my eyes than watch a massively moronic show such as that. You'll be asking me to watch soaps next.
Just part of the dumbing down of TV in general, examples being Tenable and every other ITV show with second rate presenters all aimed at people who like glitz and glamour poo with no real outcome. I've taken recently to watching some excellent programmes on history and archaeology, some really interesting stuff about the real world, on Youtube of all things.
It’s **** but my kids love it. I’ll salute anything that gets them off YouTube/consoles/internet and let’s us watch something as a family.
And if I hear that cockney git mention The Wall again I swear I will put my foot through the telly (that’s if I can get it that high)
I watched less then 5 minutes, it was the judges that put me off. They seem to think it's all about them - same as the BGT and X factor. Let them who like them watch them ,definitely not for me.
Awful but we ended up watching it ... we aren't watching it ... we aren't watching it ....that's Jordan Banjo definitely.....
Here’s my thoughts on tv on a Saturday night for what they’re worth. Yes the masked singer/Dancer is awful tv so most of the fluff tv is and always has been even back in a different generations era it was poor quality but because you remember that tv at a different point of your life I.e younger days you look at it as if it was tv gold it wasn’t and neither is what’s on terrestrial tv now on a weekend. but what it is, is an escape from reality for a few hours on a weekend from the stresses of work and life and the horrors of social media it helps ppl switch off and not have to over think what they’re watching and they converse with family members that they haven’t spent much time with during the week.. yes it’s not great tv but is not claiming to be either. Take it for what it is.
Strange how it appeals to people. My wife, who is one of the smartest, most acute, well-educated and critical people I know thinks it is wonderful. She got me to watch it once and I nearly went out and hung myself. The judges all cavorting about for the audience like children's entertainers on speed was more than enough for me. Hey ho, each to their own tastes.
Saturday evening TV when I was young was Basil Brush and the generation game. I hated it. It was the evening we went to my nans so I couldn't get away from it. I promised myself that I wouldn't ever watch such rubbish when I had the choice. I found a simple strategy for that, I don't own a TV.
This ^ We remember the TV we loved, but completely forget the sheer amount of utter dross that it was surrounded by. Now I’ve got over 100 channels, that’s also largely 100 channels of dross the vast majority of the time. But there are times now where we’re recording 3 or more programmes at the same time (we never watch commercial stations live), along with days where we watch no live tv because there’s nowt we fancy. I rarely complain about the crap telly I don’t want to watch, cos there’s always something on, meanwhile the internet, on-demand books and unlimited streaming of music are a huge improvement on the past too. Also a mention for Youtube and Podcasts.
