    Did we ever get a confirmed transfer fee? If he leaves for £10 million you’d be looking at around £1.3m to come to us.

    I think it was around 1.5 million mate. Neither club wanted to go to tribunal as we didn't want it dragging into the new season when we needed the money for the Mawson deal which the club were quite concerned about at one point as brentford would not accept the offer and were forced to a tribunal ourselves.

    So we’ll get £1.275m then if the deal is structured around a straight £10m fee rather than one that’s worth ‘up to’.

    If I remember rightly we could have got more out of Everton but we opted to take a smaller fee in order to out the 15% clause in. Seems to have paid off anyway.

    Every club has them tbf. We've probably shelled a few quid to Patrick Thistle and Forest Green Rovers over the last few weeks. In one pocket out of the other.

    Sounds right.

    Our policy of demanding sell on clauses is the reason we sell players at so called ‘basement prices’. We don’t sell on the cheap really, not when you consider the total value of the transfer.
