    The clamour for this kid over the last few months has been ridiculous, as if he's some kind of saviour? I'd much rather have given the unproven strikers that the club owns a go and throwing in an academy player now and again rather than increasing the value of another clubs player.

    Loan deal just makes no sense. Worst trade deal in the history of trade deals.

    We get a player for free who would be too expensive to sign permanently and whose wages are (potentially) heavily subsidised. Hardly that bad is it?

    On the other hand. Any player who shows promise is sold immediately. So only difference is we have received a load of cash. But not paid much out either. And if he turns out ***** it cost nowt.

    I partly agree with you like but it depends on how we are in January. And if we can hold onto anyone we actually own if they turn to gold....

    I don't think an untested kid would really be too expensive to sign now. On the other hand if we loan him and he is a success he will be snapped up by someone else like Fletcher.
