    Looks that way.
If I was McBurnie then the player that left for Scotland wouldn't be the same player walking back through the door at Swansea tomorrow.
They would be glad to see the back of me.

guess it depends if you're suggesting just having one/scrapping january, or if you're saying we should just allow transfers at any point. i'm guessing the latter would punish smaller clubs even more, as they would be under constant threat of losing their players. for me, missing deadlines is down to incompetence, pure and simple. it's people who either don't want deals to happen for whatever reason, or just **** about getting it done.

    hecky must be seething though.

Probably was Swansea saying, if we can't have Yiadom for £500k, or on loan, you're not getting McBurnie .... so there!!

Many are blaming swansea city here. However, the welsh fa have also.been good at buggerinf things up.

I.would say its.only fair that we are due a proper explanation as to where this went wrong.

If it went wring and it was our fault the lessons have to be learnt

There's a lot of incompetence this window, LCFC, DCFC, BFC losing out maybe more...

The playing field is even whether there's a window or not and the natural order of transfers would always balance. My issue is no-one in the clubs like it, and having this in the midst of part 1 of the season is distracting and hard to manage.

The irony of his posts is that in the past when other posters have slated the club he puts on this pseudo positiveness and criticises theses posters.

But I'm not overly bothered about the McBurnie situation.

Never really saw what all the fuss was about apart from him being another body.

you've got to have a process for allowing transfers though. it's either got to be at any point, or during a window, hasn't it? not sure what the alternative would be. the whole circus around transfer windows is probably more to do with sky sports and agents than anything else. all about media coverage and agents lining their pockets. i can't see how scrapping transfer windows completely, would help smaller clubs though. on the contrary. i think it would drive down transfer fees and you'd just see the bigger clubs hoovering up players on the cheap. based on our current model, it would scupper us.

So you're not concerned that our head coach whom I believe you rate highly will no doubt be extremely disappointed, perhaps absolutely fuming, that he's now no longer available to him. Therefore affecting his plans.?

**** Swansea. If they want Yiadom, then we want McBurnie as a permanent signing as part payment. They have done us on this. C@NTs

... this player would constitute the only tall centre forward at the club that is capable of holding the ball up.
And the only striker that has an aerial threat.
McBurnie in the middle with Hammill getting crosses in was a very very exciting prospect.

The loss of this one player is going to greatly impact Heckys ability to change formations.
In all positions we have a player for that position and a spare - EXCEPT in this one position!!!
This news is going to have a huge impact on the first half of the season.
    Beyond annoyed!!!

It's a poor affair all round but I'm pleased young jacob brown can step up and he may just turn out to be a success.

Agree, bigger clubs would just stockpile the players that would otherwise have been available to smaller clubs.
