    Both Johnson and Wright keep referring to someone with experience coming in.

    That rules out Bradshaw and the lad from Rotherham.

    Madden would only just fit the criteria for experience but I just can't see Scunny selling him so close to the season.

    I think we're after someone on the fringes of a Championship side.

    Decent shout that is mate. They invested a fair wack in him, 800k. Would be interesting to see what they would want for him.
    I wondered Caolan Lavery although he doesn't fit into the experienced striker category.

    I'd take May he'd do it at this level but again he's a young lad.

    Baldock, Lee Novak, Billy Mckay?

    It's pointless guessing to be honest but there's very little in our division worth 400k. Bradshaw and Madden are the only ones.

    I think the only ones who know are those inside the club. I don't think Alan Nixon has any idea on this one either.

    My guess is we won't pay what Rochdale want for Henderson, and McLeod's wage demands are beyond what we're willing to pay.

    Would mcleods wage demands be that high hes playing at crawley cant see them paying him a right lot. Whoever it is we better get a move on if he is needed to play satdi.

    Sounds like it. When they say they won't pay £4k+ a week for a L1 player over 30 years old it does seem to point to McLeod. Shame but if the blokes chasing the ££ then we don't need another Lita. £208k a year is a fair whack for L1.

    When they were playing together, they got promoted and Winnall was top scorer in the league!
    Wonder what would have happened if they could play together?
    Or maybe they just want to make it sound like they cant play together ?

    Twelve months ago, Scunny fans were trying to claim we'd signed a talentless, idle donkey in Winnall according to some on here. In fact, there was a character from a Scunny fans forum saying it on Tykesmad at the time, too.:D
