He tossed it off from the end of last season to September when he got dropped and now he's playing catch up. Amazing he thought he was good enough to do that. Poor captain and unprofessional.
“... tossed it off” in what way? I find it incredible that you’re actually slating him as an individual, this is now going beyond his on field performances and is getting quite personal. It’s almost like you’ve got an axe to grind, like he has wronged you in some way.
You’ve recently slated his external business interests by referring to him rather bizarrely as a “car salesman” and now you’re saying he has “tossed it off from the end of last season to September when he got dropped.” You’re clearly referring to him as being a poor captain due to off field issues, as opppsed to when he’s wearing the BFC shirt.
If you’re referring to MacDonald then I’d say he’s the second best central defender that we’ve got and seeing as we usually play with two central defenders then he makes my preferred starting XI when everyone’s fit and available.
You are right MR, trouble is after another loss, tonight will be the night of the long knives , they have been sharpened during the last 90 mins & the players will be fair game on here , it could be a blood bath tonight
Adam Jackson much better and earned his place with hard work. In the gym most mornings over the summer and it showed.
That comment sums up exactly what I thought when I read your initial post re MacDonald where you said he “tossed it off”. You’re clearly either privy to information provided by a source at or close to the club or you’re parroting other journalists, either way it’s hearsay. With your MacDonald posts recently it’s almost like he has “nicked your bird” as I don’t see you commenting on other players’ off field antics.
I had hoped McDonald would be the next one on the Mawson, Roberts conveyor belt. But taking him off like-for-like like that last night is a bit of a statement, and Hecky insists it was tactical - i.e. not doing his job. His dig at Winnall in the Wednesday home game last season and his skirmish with Clarke at Bramall Lane suggest a player who has maturity issues. It could be a long way back into the side for him from this.
