So from what was said or not said do we feel more or less confident that this takeover will actually happen.
I do tho reluctantly & respectfully ask, what was the ACTUAL point of the meeting?? What was disclosed that was of interest, that required the owner & CEO of the club to attend. I honestly think that it was Patrick’s goodbye/swan song, which, if he feels is relevant, he deserves and is reason enough, but as for information, it was limited in its content. Wish I had been there to be able to partake in the ovation he so deserves, at the end, but from a content point of view it seemed light......????
I would like you to find this info in the public domain..... company size determines what exactly has to be reported on the finances.
Let's face it, it was just a sop to the supporters. We were never going to learn anything of real value. I'm guessing no one managed to ask how we lost £1m in what was a relatively successful season?!
It was a supporters trust meeting. How many football clubs have open events for fans to have a completely open Q&A with both CEO and Owner. How many owners, regardless of their ill health are so open to meeting fans. You were as welcome as anyone to attend and ask. You chose not to. I doubt many people are shocked by that fact. There were plenty of questions asked - around the limit due to segregation, the costs involved to buy and run a football club amongst plenty of other questions that the fans who went wanted to ask. Not all fans have your opinion on the club or how it's run. Would have been nice for you to go and represent that certain brand of 'supporter'. and yes there was a chance for the supporters at the end to show their gratitude and respect for a man who has invested his money and time into our football club on a level greater than anyone else. I mistakenly have referenced yourself as a similar ilk to Nudge and Hemsworth. But hats off to both - they attended.
Good for them. I had no interest in going and I am not obligated to do so. We were never going to learn anything that we really want to know so what is the point? There is no way a searching question could have been asked, and if anyone did have the balls to ask they would receive a politician's answer. I've no idea how many other clubs do this. Are you implying we are the only ones who do? I very much doubt it.
It could very easily be James, Jean and Barry Taylor in charge if the takeover fails.. So glad to hear that 2 of them were in attendance All the best to Patrick..sad to hear how he's looking
